Upcoming Due Dates
Sept. 1: Offering suggestions for the 2010 convention in Austin should be sent to District President Kathy Lowman. Include the name of the proposed recipient(s) and a brief statement of need.

Oct. 1:
Mission grant proposals to be considered for the ballot for the Austin convention in June 2010 should be sent to VP of Gospel Outreach Kathy Schkade. Click here for more.

Nov. 1: Nominations for district officers are due to Jan Spitzenberger. Officers to be elected are: VP of Christian Life, VP of Communication, VP of Gospel Outreach, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, Nominating Committee (3). Societies and zones do not have to secure permission for the person(s) being nominated; the Nominating Committee will contact them.

Texas represents a large mission field in itself. The LWML in Texas creates opportunities for Lutheran women to become more involved in Bible study and more aware of the need for outreach to people around them in need of the words of hope that are valid only in Christ.


Texas District LWML Key Targets & Goals:

Inspire each LWML member to service through WORSHIP and the WORD of God

A: ACTIVELY strengthen the saints and reach out to the lost with the love of Christ

L: Pass the LEGACY of mission LEADERSHIP to all ages by mentoring and supporting fellow sisters in Christ

K: Unite with culturally diverse groups to extend the KINGDOM of God
